I won’t lie and say my birthday was a treat this year. The day of felt quite the opposite actually. Admittedly, I was having a bit of a pity party in my head most of the day as I waited for the birthday phone calls to pour in. They didn’t and so hence, the pity party. But as I look back I would like to publicly bitch slap myself because gift wise, this year was decidedly good. Maybe great even.

Husband got me not one, but TWO items from this here blog. Only took 2 years for him to catch on that this blog is basically a wish list of shit I want to have, but hey, better late than never right? Lover that he is, got me the shoes AND the bag from here:

And one of my dearest friends scored big with this little number, which I wholeheartedly adore!

So here is a public reminder to myself for next year – PUT AWAY YOUR CHRONIC BITCHFACE!

:)

Heaven and Hell

05.12.2011

My girlfriends and I have already succumbed to the fact that we are all going to hell. The only decision left to be made is who will be driving the bus. I’d like to go on record and say that we all need to have this print hanging in our respective homes. It’s kind of like our motto.

Chronic bitchface

05.10.2011

Sadly, this is something I have been accused of having. You know that saying, actions speak louder than words? Well, apparently my non-verbal body language is screaming. But lucky for me, I’m not the only one. I was instantly smitten with Kris Atomic when I came across her Chronic Bitchface print. She’s a cat loving, avid reading, internet loving, only child – it’s like we were separated at birth!

Hmmm…where to hang this poster? Perhaps over the bed?

Everyone poops

I MUST have this print from ilovedoodle on Etsy.

Holstee Manifesto

03.08.2011

The Holstee Manifesto is basically a reminder of what’s important in life. Seems I’m starting a pattern of uplifting art around the house.

Today was…

12.09.2009

I think this print would hep make every day a good day. Hung just inside the front door, it would be a good reminder of what’s really important.

Traveling out of state to visit family or friends this holiday season? Consider a gift that is unique, handmade and sure to please. The United Plates Collection from Shorthanded Studio is a limited-edition series of 51 illustrated prints based on each state in the U.S. and drawn as food. Each print is 12.5 x 19 inches and sells for only $15! Personally, I’d like to have one of each to make a giant art piece out of when hung all together.

Unconditional love

Yeah, it’s like that.

Wearable fruit

05.20.2009

Yeah, I think I need this. It is summer after all. And besides, I’m kind of a fruit so it seems appropriate.
