Last night, as I finished up an enormous bowl of super salty (and buttery) popcorn, I thought to myself, “Mmm…that was good. But now I want something sweet…” If I had to classify myself as a sugar or salt girl, I would probably say salt. But then I would say sugar as soon as I finished eating the salt. Because in my world, there is never too much of a good thing.

Baconery is pretty much like that – sugar and salt all mixed into one, where bacon meets bakery. Wesley Klein, the mastermind behind Baconery, has spent months infusing various ingredients to come up with the perfect combination of breakfast and dessert into delectable, ultra delicious treats. Think bacon banana bread, bacon marshmallow bars, bacon trail mix, and this month’s treat – pumpkin spice bacon muffins! I’m pretty sure that adding bacon to traditional baked goods is akin to a healthy dose of nitrous at the dentist – supremely delightful!

Currently, Baconery is mail order only, but don’t let that sway you. A few hours in the mail will only make it that much better when it finally touches your lips. After all, bacon makes everything better!

This dish could easily serve as an appetizer or a dessert. Or, if you’re like me, a meal in itself. With wine, of course. Whatever you choose to serve it, you’ll be saying “Shut you whore mouth, this is GOOD!”

Ever hear of s’meaches before? Me either, but now that I have, that’s it, it’s over. I am smitten! s’meaches = s’mores + peaches. Genius!

Because I just so happen to have some egg roll wrappers left over from  making this recipe, I’ll be trying my hand at these this weekend. They would be delish for a date night dessert, but knowing me, I’ll be making them bright and early and testing them out with my morning coffee. C’mon now, I didn’t grow this ass eating Wheaties for breakfast!

Now through July 4th, its BOGO time at Baskin Robbins! Buy a scoop, get a scoop! I scream, you scream – let’s all scream for free ice cream! Yay!

I am not a baker by any stretch of the imagination (I don’t like to measure things). But for this recipe I am willing to make an exception. Quite possibly this weekend. Now excuse me, I have to get a towel to wipe the drool off my keyboard…

Simply print out the coupon and present it to your server. Oh yeah, and try not to gorge yourself on your meal that could feed 6 so that you actually have some space to put that free dessert!
