Halloween is right around the corner, which, for you breeders, means it’s all about kids. I’m a kid on the inside and while I don’t still go trick-or-treat’ing, I do love me a good costume opportunity. I also eat all the candy I buy for the trick-or-treaters but that’s beside the point. This year the one thing I am really looking forward to is torturing my dog with his very own Halloween costume. He has put me through enough shit in the last year and you know what they say about payback. It’s a bitch.

Here are some options I’m considering. I could make it a family affair and go with the themed costumes, the bacon and egg I already have. This would allow me to call my dog Little Chef just like in Ratatouille.

I don’t have nearly enough friends for this idea but I think it would be super cute to go as Shark Week. And super easy! And the hammerhead shark is cute too!

The rest of these are so much on the theme but they are adorable and made me laugh. I know my dog would try to eat just about anything I put him in so I don’t really want to spend a bunch of money on something that is only going to last 10 minutes, but the idea is cute anyway.

The arms on this one made me literally laugh out loud!

You can never go wrong with the headless horseman!

Perhaps if he were a leprechaun, it would bring me some good luck!

Or maybe he should just show his true colors and be what he really is. Damien.

The Shake Series

07.28.2011

Oregonian, Carli Davidson is not only a nationally recognized fine art pet photographer, but also an animal trainer and caretaker. Her motto is your pet is beautiful no matter how many limbs it has, and she photographs all species and temperaments! Carli’s Shake Series displays just how beautiful she thinks pets are as all the shots are of dogs shaking their heads. And for any of you with a dog, you know just how strange, wild, wet and wonderful (or not) that can be. The proof is in the pudding – check ‘em out.

Maybe just the dog…

Which is kinda how I feel sometimes when my monster is quite literally dragging me down the sidewalk. Maybe I could at least have a sense of humor about it if I had this leash.

What? It’s funny!

Once again, proof that I am clearly much younger than my chronilogical age as this video made laugh. Out loud.

Check it out, people – my dog is famous! Not really of course, but his picture is in a magazine. I don’t count that there are ~50 other dog’s photos there as well, so let’s just not mention that. I told you a while back that I submitted photos of him to a magazine photo contest for tongues. And low and behold, here he is in the March/April edition of Fido Friendly magazine! Now if I can just find a contest that pays actual prize money…

this book would be at the top of Logan’s list. Among other basic tasks for dumb dogs like mine.

Simon’s cat vs. Scotch tape!

via Doobybrain

Happy almost new year to you, peeps. I will catch up here at some point. Promise. Pinky swear.

But until that happens, here’s a little love bug to keep you occupied. This is one of the four-legged members of our household, Logan. And as you can clearly see by his photo, he’s not exactly the smartest dog on the planet. This is pretty much how he looks all the time. Tired, wide awake, rowdy, playful, crazy-off-the-wall aggro…his tongue is ALWAYS hanging out. It’s kinda hard not to love him a little bit when he looks at you all dumb like this. This silly face can break through even the worst of moods because of that tongue.

This is one of 3 photos I submitted to a tongue photo contest. Fingers crossed, I know I would pick Logan if I were a judge. While perhaps not the prettiest of tongues, it definitely qualifies for most original. Way better than a panting or yawning tongue, if you ask me. So think good thoughts, peeps – Logan has just about chewed through his last toy and could really use some prize treats!

If only…

I loved my cat more. Because I’d really like to give her a place to sleep in my room other than on my chest.

Igloo Cat Bed from The Refined Feline

Really, I’m only kidding. I love my cat despite how she continually pees on the floor. I’m just poor.
