Because I just so happen to have some egg roll wrappers left over from  making this recipe, I’ll be trying my hand at these this weekend. They would be delish for a date night dessert, but knowing me, I’ll be making them bright and early and testing them out with my morning coffee. C’mon now, I didn’t grow this ass eating Wheaties for breakfast!

The Shake Series

07.28.2011

Oregonian, Carli Davidson is not only a nationally recognized fine art pet photographer, but also an animal trainer and caretaker. Her motto is your pet is beautiful no matter how many limbs it has, and she photographs all species and temperaments! Carli’s Shake Series displays just how beautiful she thinks pets are as all the shots are of dogs shaking their heads. And for any of you with a dog, you know just how strange, wild, wet and wonderful (or not) that can be. The proof is in the pudding – check ‘em out.

The Space Bar

07.27.2011

For once, when I say “bar” I actually not talking about a place that serves alcohol. Huh. Imagine that.

The Space Bar is a simple desk accessory that reduces clutter and gives you extra USB ports for your computer – which anyone with an iMac desperately needs! The stylish design features a brushed aluminum base with white plastic accents, room for 18″ long by 1.5″ high keyboard and can support up to 20 pounds weight (the weight of a 21.5″ iMac). There are 6 USB ports, four in the front and two in the back. The only potential downside I see is that its powered by an external power source which means adding an extra cable to the rats nest under my desk. But hey, outta sight, outta mind, right?

Moving

07.26.2011

I am experimenting with moving my blog around and changed the actual name (actually not name, but url) to Internet Therapy (10 years later, I know). However, I am still trying to figure out all the inner workings of the back end with the feed and such, so if you are a subscriber (all 3 of you) and you lose your feed (because I am dumb and clearly not as geeky as I thought), then I apologize because you will have to go here - http://internettherapy.wordpress.com/ – and resubscribe.

Next step is WordPress.org so hang on to your hats. I’ll for sure fuck that one up!

My morning coffee

07.25.2011

My morning coffee needs to be drunk out of this mug because it sums up my mornings pre-coffee to a tee!

Strike a pose!

07.22.2011

That’s exactly what these Russian high school kids did for their yearbook photos! But instead of that corny, fall JC Penney backdrop, they used something relevant, and created it themselves. Instead, they posed in front of a chalkboard with drawings that reflected their personality and showed off their interests, making each student’s photo unique. I wish my school had done something like this. I actually have a couple of sorority photos from college where I had to wear a velvet drape. Do you know what those even are? Hideous. That’s all you need to know.

It’s Friday, people. Finally. And at the risk of looking/sounding like a drunk, here’s some more cocktails for you to make. What? Don’t judge me. It’s the weekend and it’s summer. I have a shitty job and an extra 10 lbs I’m carrying around, so I’m allowed to get happy occasionally.

Friday-itis

07.21.2011

I have Friday-itis. And it’s Thursday. Which is not the worst of it, because I had it yesterday too. I think it’s becoming a chronic, perhaps even lifelong, condition for me. Think this watermelon margarita can cure it? Not sure, but I’m definitely gonna give it a shot. I’ll get back to you.

…on Monday.

Corner bookmarks

07.20.2011

Am I the only reader who struggles with bookmarks? Because to be honest, they really irritate me. Sure, they’re functional, but they never stay in place! I have taken to trading most of my books online over the last couple of years (http://www.swap.com/) so am really trying to get away from dog-earring all my pages. Well, thanks to the lovely Tally over at I Could Make That, not only do I have a functional bookmark that will stay in place, but now I have one with tons of personality too! Anyone can make them – crafty or not. All it takes is a little paper, scissors and glue. As Michael Jackson used to say, easy as 1-2-3!

For all you designers out there, this little video is sure to make you smile!
