I almost felt bad posting this recipe after spending nearly an hour surfing the site where I found it (thanks to Pinterest!) – Can You Stay For Dinner?. Andie Mitchell is the hostess and she is breathtakingly beautiful. And completely admirable for the fact that she has a website with recipes such as this one and has recently lost 135 lbs. Yes, you read that right, 135 lbs. Impressive right?
But I only felt bad for a moment because I figured that if Andie is making this recipe and posting it on her site and has managed to reach a place of peace in her relationship with food (and YES, it is a relationship, not that different from a spouse), then I shouldn’t feel bad about sharing it, eating it, and enjoying absolutely everything about it!
You go, Andie!
Now I need to go see this movie. Anyone seen it yet? Is it as funny as it looks?
Think you know your movies? Can you identify them from just 3 visual clues? If you think, “Hell yes, I can!” then test your knowledge in the Clockbusters challenge from Veer. I did the original and scored 41 out of 50. Some of them are really simple, others, not so much. Know the movie in this picture? If so, tell me – I skipped it! Good luck!

so I bet I could pick it up again pretty quickly, no? Four weeks vacation – MINIMUM? Yeah, I’m moving to Germany.
Resume, schmesume. Who needs one when you’ve got the FACTS?

I won’t lie and say my birthday was a treat this year. The day of felt quite the opposite actually. Admittedly, I was having a bit of a pity party in my head most of the day as I waited for the birthday phone calls to pour in. They didn’t and so hence, the pity party. But as I look back I would like to publicly bitch slap myself because gift wise, this year was decidedly good. Maybe great even.
Husband got me not one, but TWO items from this here blog. Only took 2 years for him to catch on that this blog is basically a wish list of shit I want to have, but hey, better late than never right? Lover that he is, got me the shoes AND the bag from here:
And one of my dearest friends scored big with this little number, which I wholeheartedly adore!
So here is a public reminder to myself for next year – PUT AWAY YOUR CHRONIC BITCHFACE!
When it comes to styling my hair, I am almost completely inept. I did manage to have a semi-curled style (using a flat iron no less) recently, but that came about as a total accident and a complete (but happy) surprise. But now, thanks to the heads up from Wit & Whistle, I can follow the Hair Romance 30 Day Hairstyle Challenge. Every day in May (sorry, I’m a bit late), there is a new twist & pin hairstyle to show how versatile the technique can be. I will be spending some time looking through the archives since we are almost at the end of the month. Lord knows my awful hippie hair ponytail mess could use some teaching!
I’m taking a few days off (from just about everything) to
celebrate forget my birthday. Next year I vow to turn the clock back and only get younger!
